Viewing Instance Logs
This guide shows you how to access, analyze, and manage logs from service instances in the Vidos platform. You’ll learn how to effectively use logs for troubleshooting, and understanding instance behavior.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”Before you begin, ensure you have:
- At least one running service instance
Understanding Instance Logs
Section titled “Understanding Instance Logs”Instance logs provide detailed information about service behavior, including:
- Request and response processing
- Error messages and exceptions
Accessing Instance Logs
Section titled “Accessing Instance Logs”View logs through the Vidos dashboard to monitor instance activity and diagnose issues.
Steps to Access Logs
Section titled “Steps to Access Logs”- Navigate to the instance details page in your dashboard
- Select the Logs tab from the navigation menu
- Choose the appropriate time range for your investigation
- Apply filters to focus on relevant log entries
- Review the log entries in chronological order
Filtering and Searching Logs
Section titled “Filtering and Searching Logs”Use filtering and search capabilities to quickly find relevant information in large log volumes.
Time-based Filtering
Section titled “Time-based Filtering”Narrow down logs to specific time periods:
- Last 15 minutes: For real-time troubleshooting
- Last hour: For recent issues or performance analysis
- Last 24 hours: For daily operational review
- Custom range: For specific incidents or historical analysis
